The Super Mario Bro’s film based on the popular Nintendo video game has been the talk of the town until its release in April. After breaking records at the box office, fans will now be able to stream the film.
So far, the film has been available online to the US only by August 4th on the platform Peacock. This time around, viewers from all over will be able access the film as it will later be available on Netflix.
Highest-grossing film based on a video game
As of November 2023, The Super Mario Bro’s has made history as the highest grossing film, based on a video game. This came after just one week of release. However, this was until it was surpassed by Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.
Who is the cast of the film?
Some familiar actors and actresses in the film include Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, Charlie Day as Luigi, and Chris Pratt as Mario.
Where can I watch The Super Mario Bro’s Online?
Prior to its release, fans of the video game have long since wondered which elements of the game would be present in the film. To their satisfaction, viewers were able to relive nostalgic elements of the game. That is, the go-karts, driving on rainbows, powerup boxes as well as some of the theme songs of the game.
Now, months after The Super Mario Bro’s release, the film will finally be available for streaming online. However, fans will have to wait it out just a little while longer to be able to watch it. This comes as the film will only be available for streaming on Netflix by the 3rd of December 2023 – just in time for the holidays!
