Chris Brown is not happy about losing a Grammy to an artist he doesn’t know.

After being nominated for the best R & B album of the year, Chris Brown and fans alike were sure that the singer would take home the Grammy. However, this did not happen.

Taking to his Instagram, Chris Brown fumed at the loss writing, “Y’all playing, who da f**k is this? I’ma keep kicking y’all a** respectfully.”

While Chris Brown has won numerous awards, the singer has only won one Grammy award. The artist earned his first Grammy in 2011 for his album F.AM.E after being nominated for the best R & B album of the year. He has been nominated a total of 21 times at the Grammys to date.

In response to his post, Robert Glasper took to his own account and shared a piece of his mind.

Singer apologizes to Robert Glasper

Even though the news came as a shock, Chris Brown later personally apologized to Robert Glasper and noted that the two of them should never have been in the same category to begin with.

He said, “Congratulations my brother..I would like to apologize if you took offence to my reaction at the Grammys..you were not the intended target and I know I came off really rude and mean. After doing my research I actually think you’re amazing..THE ORGANIZATION ISN’T DOING US BLACKS OUR DUE DILIGENCE. YOU AND I SHOULD never be in the same category…two totally different vibes and genre’s. So from one black man to another…Congratulations. HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO FEED YOUR FAMILY FOR LIFE. God bless my G”

Despite his recent loss, Chris Brown has had considerable success in his career. In 2022, one of the singer’s tracks titled Under the Influence gained great popularity on TikTok. The song increased in streams on every platform three years after the track’s initial release. As a result, the singer to release a video for the track a few months after. Under the Influence has since been certified platinum.

Now, this isn’t the first time Chris was snubbed. In 2022, the singer was gearing up to perform at the Billboard Awards and do a performance with fellow singer Ciara in honor of the late Michael Jackson. However, reports share that the singer was stopped from doing after discussions of his history of abusing Rihanna and honoring an alleged pedophile.

Since then, the singer has put his focus on his Under the Influence tour in the UK. Was he justified in his reaction?
